Three-day session of the Episcopal Council of Biblical Apostolate in Togo

From Friday May 3rd to Sunday May 5th 2024, the Episcopal Council for Biblical Apostolate (CEAB) held its first ordinary session of the year 2024 at the Daluag Prayer Center in Dapaong (Togo - West Africa).


From Friday May 3rd to Sunday May 5th 2024, the Episcopal Council for Biblical Apostolate (CEAB) held its first ordinary session of the year 2024 at the Daluag Prayer Center in Dapaong (Togo - Ouest Africa). The Workshop was attended by Biblical Pastoral Coordinators from Togo's seven dioceses, as well as the Bishop in charge of this sector within the Togo Bishops Conference (CET): Mgr Dominique GUIGBILE. The session was chaired by the National Coordinator of CEAB, Father Jean Prosper AGBAGNON (SVD). Several topics were on the agenda:

  • creation and fostering of Bible circles in Christian communities, education and formation centers as well as academic institutions; in this view, a particular focus was placed on the identity, characteristics and roles of the Bible animator or minister of the Word;
  • planning of a training Workshop for all pastoral agents involved in Biblical Pastoral activities both in Togo and in Ghana, led by BICAM (Biblical Center for Africa and Madagascar) in September 2024;
  • dispositions and orientations for the celebration of Bible Month (September 2024).
