Towards the CBF 10th Plenary Assembly: Catholic Biblical Federation in Africa and Madagascar
Having entered the New Year 2021, it is time to begin a tour of the various regions of the Catholic Biblical Federation on our journey towards the 10th Plenary Assembly. This month we will visit the Region of Africa.
Coming to the Assembly, the representatives of the member institutions of the Catholic Biblical Federation of Africa and Madagascar will present a wide range of initiatives, concerns and projects from their region. Among the most significant ones will be: the project of developing a general coordinated Biblical Apostolate structure for all of Africa, activity of the Biblical Centre for Africa and Madagascar (BICAM) as part of the organizational structure of the Symposium of the Bishops’ Conferences of Africa and Madagascar (SCEAM), the challenge of translating and publishing the Bible in numerous local African languages, and the development of effective and viable practices and methods for the biblical formation of clergy and laity in Africa and Madagascar.
The Encounter will take place on January 20th, 2021 from 3:00 to 4:30 PM EAT (Nairobi Time). It will be hosted by the General Secretariat of the Catholic Biblical Federation in cooperation with the Friends of the CBF.

LectioYouth.Net is a Catholic program for systematic reading and study of the Word of God. It is intended for groups and individuals, particularly the youth in Africa and Madagascar.
The primary goal of LectioYouth.Net is to facilitate the encounter with the word of God through Bible study groups, especially for youth. It is devoted to systematic and regular study and reflection on the Word of God, in order to be guided and transformed on both the personal and local community level. Since it is intended primarily but not exclusively for the Catholic community, its primary, but not exclusive, beneficiary is the Catholic community.
