On behalf of the Middle East Biblical Federation members, the Coordinator of the Middle East region, Fr. Pierre Najem, thanked His Eminence for the time he consecrated to meeting them, and exposed the ecumenical nature of the M.East federation, in which all the Christian denominations are represented. He also told His Eminence about the situation of the Federation in Syria and Iraq in the ongoing conflict, but also in Egypt and the Holy Land, where the local Federations are perseverant in proclaiming the Word despite the multiple challenges.
His Eminence exhorted the members and encouraged them to continue despite the obstacles, and urged them to stay faithful to the Church and not to transform their mission into a mere scholarship. The goal of any research and study is to proclaim the word of God, for this same reason, the one who proclaims the word should have the heart of a Pastor, who is carrying the spiritual bread to the flock of Christ.
