Research Seminar on Biblical Interpretation in India
Twenty-five years after the release of the document "Interpretation of the Bible in the Church” (1993) Research Seminar on Biblical Interpretation in India will take place in Bangalore from 27th to 29th of September 2019.
The primary intention of the Seminar is to examine what effect the document, The Interpretation of the Bible in the Church, has made on the Church in India in both the academic and the pastoral fields. However, the contributions of Vatican II and the other efforts made since then, which Theological Publications in India (TPI) has striven to highlight through its publications unto the present - the Golden Jubilee of its existence - is also well within the scope of the planned seminar.
The seminar is the fruit of four institutes coming together - all of which are engaged in the task of Biblical interpretation and ministry in India. These are CCBI - Commission for Bible, NBCLC, CBAI and TPI.
