Friends of the CBF - Fundraising 2024
In June and July, CBF General Secretary Fr. Jan Stefanòw traveled through the Archdiocese of Chicago in Illinois and the Diocese of Metuchen in New Jersey fundraising for the Friends of the Catholic Biblical Federation.
On this trip, Fr. Stefanòw visited St. William and St. Oscar Romero parishes in Chicago followed by St. John Paul II, Queenship of Mary, and St. John the Evangelist parishes in New Jersey.
Contributions went towards both the Biblical Pastoral Ministry Fund and the CBF General Fund. Funds will be used for many projects, such as the distribution of Bibles to people without them. There are still many languages that do not yet have the Bible, and the CBF is working towards creating new translations. It also provides instruction and materials for catechists, online resources like podcasts and Africa’s Youth Net, and is working towards offering a master’s program in Biblical Pastoral Ministry. Ecumenicism is another priority of the CBF, with other Christian denominations as well as non-Christian religions. Finally, funds are needed for more administrative costs, such as hosting meetings.
