Vom 3. bis 22. Mai war der Generalsekretär der KBF, Fr. Jan J. Stefanów SVD, zu einem Arbeitsbesuch in Papua-Neuguinea.
Der Generalsekretär der Katholischen Bibelföderation folgte der Einladung, an den Feierlichkeiten zum 40. Jahrestag der Gründung von Verbum Bible teilzunehmen, und führte einen Arbeitsbesuch in der DR Kongo durch.
Am heutigen Mittwoch, den 5. Januar, begann eine dreitägige Konferenz der KBF in Südostasien. Die Veranstaltung findet im Online-Modus statt.
Am 27. April traf sich das Exekutivkomitee der Katholischen Bibelföderation zu seiner regulären Online-Sitzung.
Das Fest der Verkündigung des Herrn, das auch als das Fest der Menschwerdung des Wortes gefeiert wird, ist reich an Bedeutung und hat mehrere Dimensionen. Sicherlich ist es ein christologisches Fest. Seine Bedeutung und Botschaft ist jedoch untrennbar mit der Jungfrau Maria verbunden, denn Maria von Nazareth ist seine Hauptprotagonistin. Es ist also das Fest der Jungfrau Maria als einer Person, die eine einzigartige und wesentliche Rolle in Gottes Heilsplan gespielt hat, der von Christus vollzogen wurde.
Zum 55. Jahrestag der Verkündigung der Dogmatischen Konstitution Dei Verbum und ein Jahr vor der Eröffnung der 10. Vollversammlung der KBF hat das Generalsekretariat der Katholischen Bibelföderation eine Reihe von virtuellen Treffen begonnen unter dem Titel "Auf dem Weg zur 10. Vollversammlung“.
27 Mitglieder der Katholischen Bibelföderation (KBF) aus vier Nationen (Sri Lanka, Bangladesch, Pakistan und Indien) trafen sich vom 7. bis 10. Januar 2020 im Spiritualitätszentrum "Serene Pastures" in Bolowalana, Colombo, Sri Lanka zu ihrer alle zwei Jahre stattfindenden Versammlung. Während des viertägigen Treffens tauschten sie sich aus über das Thema: „Das Wort Gottes im Licht von Aperuit Illis“.
Die KBF-Südostasien hielt vom 12. bis 16. Juni 2019 in Tagaytay City, Philippinen, einen bibelpastoralen Kongress ab. Dieser Kongress orientierte sich am KBF-Kongress in Rom im April 2019, der das gleiche Thema aufgriff. Die rund 110 Teilnehmer kamen aus Indonesien, Myanmar, Vietnam, Thailand und den Mitgliedern des Bibelapostolates auf den Philippinen. Gastgeber der Veranstaltung war die CBCP-Bischöfliche Kommission für das Bibelapostolat.
The Catholic Biblical Federation will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the foundation of the Federation by organizing an International Biblical Congress in Rome from April 23-26, 2019. The Congress shall reflect upon the work and fruit of the Federation during past 50 years, identify the challenges for Biblical pastoral ministry in the current ecclesial reality and outline its objectives and priorities for the coming years.
Zum 50. Geburtstag der ersten chinesisch-katholischen Bibel (Studium Biblicum Version, 1968-2018), verpflichten sich die über 200 Teilnehmer des 11. Chinesischen Weltbibelkongresses, der Ende November in Hongkong stattfand, auf das Lesen und Leben des Wortes Gottes, um alle Dienste der Kirche biblisch zu bereichern.

Am Sonntag, dem 18. März 2018, fand die Eröffnungsveranstaltung der Vereinigung „Freunde der Katholischen Bibelföderation“ in der Pfarrgemeinde Sankt Elizabeth Ann Seton in Rowland Heights, Kalifornien, statt.
