27 Mitglieder der Katholischen Bibelföderation (KBF) aus vier Nationen (Sri Lanka, Bangladesch, Pakistan und Indien) trafen sich vom 7. bis 10. Januar 2020 im Spiritualitätszentrum "Serene Pastures" in Bolowalana, Colombo, Sri Lanka zu ihrer alle zwei Jahre stattfindenden Versammlung. Während des viertägigen Treffens tauschten sie sich aus über das Thema: „Das Wort Gottes im Licht von Aperuit Illis“.

Joseph Mary Tran SDB, Repräsentant für Vietnam, Kambodscha, Thailand und Myanmar, P. Arlo Ya SVD, Repräsentant für die Philippinen, sowie Dr. Natividad Pagadut, der subregionale Koordinator. Sr. Marianne Gorit OSB, Protokollführerin des letztjährigen Treffens in Nha Trang, Vietnam, schloss sich der Gruppe an und wurde schliesslich zur Sekretärin der Subregion und als Verantwortliche für die Website der Subregion KBF-SEA ernannt.

The Pontifical Council for the Family, in collaboration with the Catholic Biblical Federation, the Association of US Catholic Publishers and Libreria Editrice Vaticana, organized a meeting with Catholic editors on the theme "The Bible and the Family ". The meeting took place on September 23 in Philadelphia, in the context under the World Meeting of Families held in this city from 22-27 September.
